SEEKING: Summer Intern/Work Study Student

Our Vision Zero Committee is in search of a Summer Intern/Work Study Student (graduate or undergraduate). stipend is available.


Description:

Neighborhood Project Assistant Summer Internship

Detail-oriented, Excel-friendly, and personable student to help us survey and document street features throughout our neighborhood. Surveying involves creating a spreadsheet of intersections to be surveyed for use during field work, and then updating spreadsheet afterward. Work will include identifying businesses to participate in a couple of programs, following up in person with each one, and documenting next steps. Office work will be done at SOSNA office (1901 Christian) and outdoors on foot between South Street to Washington Avenue and Broad Street to Schuylkill River.


General Qualifications: A urban studies/traffic engineering/urban planning student is a plus but not required for the position. Must be willing and able to do walking surveys of the neighborhood to collect primary data.
