Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 18th!


5/3/21 IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR THE PRIMARY!


REGISTER TO VOTE at votespa.com or philadelphiavotes.com!


TO UPDATE YOUR REGISTRATION, CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION STATUS and/or REQUEST A MAIL-IN AND ABSENTEE BALLOT, visit votespa.com or philadelphiavotes.com.


CAUTION: Mail-in ballot applications must be received by 5 PM on 5/11/21. They are then processed before ballots are mailed; allow plenty of time for your completed ballots to be returned/received by 5/18.


HOW TO VOTE

ELECTION DAY IN-PERSON VOTING. At a Polling Place – find your location at https://atlas.phila.gov/voting. Polls are open 7 AM to 8 PM. First-time voters must bring identification (driver’s license, passport, voter registration card, current bank statement/utility bill, etc.) to the polls. If your name is not in the binder or the supplemental lists, you have the right to vote by Provisional Ballot.


BEFORE ELECTION DAY IN-PERSON MAIL-BALLOT VOTING. At City Hall Room 140, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM through 5/17, and then 7 AM to 8 PM on Election Day. Voting machines are not utilized; you complete a printed ballot. See philadelphiavotes.com for further details.


MAIL-IN AND ABSENTEE BALLOT VOTING. Submit your completed ballot, previously requested at the above link, either:

  • by mail, via USPS (however, ballots must be received before 8 PM on May 18th and USPS does not guarantee timely delivery);

  • at City Hall Room 140;

  • or, in a Philadelphia City Commissioners’ 24/7 Dropbox at City Hall (S. Broad Street gate), at the Markward Playground (400 S. Taney Street), or at any of the other 12 locations – see philadelphiavotes.com.


And with all MAIL-IN BALLOTS, PLEASE REMEMBER to 1) first place your completed ballot in the smaller “Official Election Ballot” secrecy envelope, 2) then place that sealed secrecy envelope into the larger “Voter Declaration” addressed outer envelope, 3) and seal, sign and date this outer envelope.

only vote for those candidates within your registered political party):

  • one PA Supreme Court Justice

  • one Superior Court Judge

  • two Commonwealth Court Judges

  • eight Common Pleas Court Judges

  • three Municipal Court Judges

  • District Attorney

  • City Controller

  • and your Judge and Inspector of Election (those working inside at your polling place)
